Committed to Service for Humanity
Since 2007, Shanti has been transforming the lives of marginalized communities in Chattogram, Bangladesh — through education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods.
Who We Are
Since the beginning of creation, people have been working for each other. Shanti was founded with the intention of giving the underprivileged, poor and helpless access to education and development growth.
Shanti strives to build a happy society by eliminating various social ills and provides comprehensive cooperation in the government's development programs.
Initially, Shanti came into being as a local credit-serving organization in Bhujpur village, Fatikchari, Chattogram, targeting low-income farmers, widows, unemployed youth and minority groups.
Md. Jashim Uddin, an active youth of Bhujpur village, came forward and shared his vision with friends to alleviate the suffering of these unfortunate people.
Six young enthusiasts joined together — Md. Jashim Uddin, Md. Jahangir Alam, Babu Fulkumar Tripura, Md. Belal Uddin, Md. Mannan Uddin, and Md. Eliyas — bringing Shanti to life.
Shanti was established on March 15, 2007 in Bhujpur, Fatikchari Upazila, Chattogram.
Shanti operates with full legal authorization from three regulatory bodies of Bangladesh.
